Grand Jury Returns Indictments

The Jeff Davis County Grand Jury last week returned five true bill indictments.
Michael George Walls was indicted on a charge of aggravate assault for allegedly strangling a woman on April 9.
Stevie Dale Lynn was charged with burglary in the second degree for allegedly entering the Dirt Movers Inc. building on Claxton Road on March 31.
Zaylvia Jermaine Howell and Chalova Staley were indicted for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and Howell was indicted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in a May 2 incident.
Eddie Earl Bowman faces a charge of obstruction of an officer for allegedly pushing a Sheriff’s Deputy, causing the officer to fall to the ground with the accused.
Jimmy Wayne Clance was indicted on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and battery. He is charged with striking a man on the side of his head with a rock in December, 2018, threatening the man in a Facebook post in June, 2017, and causing visible bodily harm to the victim, giving him a swollen eye and causing him to bleed from his ear in the December, 2018, incident.
