Soccer boys fall to Toombs

Jeff Davis High’s boys soccer team fell 3-0 to Toombs County last Thursday in Hazlehurst.
The loss dropped the Jackets record to 12-4-1 and 6-2 in Region 2-AA. The Bulldogs improved to 10-5-1 and 5-2.
The Yellow Jackets are ranked No. 5 in Score Atlanta’s Class AA rankings. They earned a spot in the 2019 state playoffs which begin April 26.
The Lady Jacket girls, 8-7-2, also earned a playoff berth and will open play April 25.
