Mr. R.D. Farmer, 76

Mr. R.D. Farmer, 76, of Hazlehurst, died April 16 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.
Mr. Farmer was born Jan. 30, 1943, in Bibb County to the late Roe Dallas Farmer and the late Christine Laura Newham Farmer. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during Vietnam Conflict and retired from Alco.
Survivors include daughters, Shamane LaRoche (Ronald) of Baxley and Selina McNeal (Danny) of Hazlehurst; special friend, Judy Carter of Lyons; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 18 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Hodges officiating.
Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dusty Boone, Kaleb LaRoche, Dennis Yawn, Donnie Yawn, Buddy Byrd, and Scott White.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
