JDMS Blue improves to 3-0

Jeff Davis Middle School’s Blue Team improved to 3-0 Monday with a 12-0, 5-inning win over West Laurens in Hazlehurst.
Alex Mason threw a 2-hit shutout and drove in four runs at the plate. He walked one and struck out 10 in five innings on the mound, at one point striking out five straight batters.
Duke Stone had a pair of singles and two RBI, Tre Rea had a single and three RBI, Ethan Griffin singled and drove in a run, and Cason Clance and Hayden Turner both singled.
Clance had three stolen bases, Turner two and Stone one.
