Jeff Davis Sheriff Preston Bohannon announced this week that several drug-related arrests have been made in Jeff Davis County. Sheriff Bohannon said as a result of several drug investigations, intense drug suppression efforts, by investigators and deputies, several suspects were arrested on the following charges:
Wayne Jordan of Broxton was indicted in the Southern District Federal Court and arrested for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute controlled substance.
Undray Heller of Hazlehurst was indicted in the Southern District Federal Court and arrested for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute controlled substance.
Juan Marcellus Bennett of Hazlehurst was indicted in the Southern District Federal Court and arrested for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute controlled substance.
Amy Baxley Hampton of Baxley was arrested and charged with sale of methamphetamine.
Samantha White of Hazlehurst was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Benjie Swain of Hazlehurst was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Avion Markei Stegall of Lumber City was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Nacarvas Kemell Chambers of Hazlehurst was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
James Daniel Brown of Guyton was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Jamie Lewis Selph of Hazlehurst was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance being methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Christopher Joseph Scott of Hazlehurst was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine
Jeffery Lavon Chambers of Douglas was arrested and charged with purchase, possession, distribute, or sale of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Eddie Smalls of Hazlehurst was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
Ladina Mirella Balcom of Hazlehurst was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
Clinton Oliver Norsworthy of Dahlonega was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) and DUI of drugs.
Debbie Murray of Hazlehurst was convicted in the Superior Court of Jeff Davis County for manufacturing marijuana and was sentenced to 15 years, five years to be served in the Department of Corrections along with court fees and fines.
