Mrs. Edna Ussery Jones, 77

Mrs. Edna Ussery Jones, 77, of Hazlehurst, died Jan. 9 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Mrs. Jones was born Nov. 30, 1941, in Telfair County to the late William Ussery and the late Mamie Jewell Ussery. She was a retired seamstress with Hazlehurst Manufacturing and member of Lumber City Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Dewey Jones.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-laws, Gary (Rhonda) Jones of Hazlehurst, Darrell (Ginger) Jones of Helena and Mike (Janet) Jones of McRae; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held Jan. 12 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with her son, the Rev. Gary Jones and the Rev. Bradley Brown officiating.
Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City.
Active pallbearers were Drew Jones, Ben Adams, Hunter Adams, Craig Ussery, Eddie Wilkes and Robert Briley.
Musical selections were rendered by Margaret Nell Hulett.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
