JDHS Is High Performing School
It should come as no surprise that Jeff Davis High School is performing well compared to schools in the area and across the state. It is also the highest performing school of the system’s four K-12 schools.
According to the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement’s latest School Grades Reports, Jeff Davis High School’s overall performance is higher than 71% of schools in the state and is higher than its district.
Its academic growth is higher than 57% of school in the state, its four-year graduation rate is 87.1%, which is higher than 56% of high schools, and 73.3% of graduates are college ready.
From 2013 to 2016, the high school’s school wide scores received C and D ratings. Last year, the score rose to B for the first time since the reports have been generated, with a numerical score of 81.7. The state average is 75.0.
Of the eight surrounding counties, only Appling County has a higher score than Jeff Davis at 84.4.
