Swainsboro Only Region Team To Win

Swainsboro was the only Region 2-AA team to survive the first round of the state playoffs last week. The Tigers topped Northeast Macon 23-7.
No. 2 Vidalia was ousted by Washington County 31-25, No. 3 Jeff Davis fell 39-21 to Dodge County, and No. 4 Toombs County was thrashed by Dublin 49-14.
This week Swainsboro hosts Fitzgerald, a 51-14 winner over Harlem last week.
In other Class AA playoff games, Chattooga edged Washington 7-6, Rabun County routed Spencer 65-0, Thomasville defeated Hephzibah 42-7, Douglass-Atlanta blanked Pepperell 34-0, Heard County rolled over Monticello 63-22, Jefferson County defeated Early County 28-14, Bremen downed Union County 40-10, Rockmart had no problem with South Atlanta 55-0, Brooks County whipped Screven County 47-0, Callaway topped Elbert County 27-14, and Hapeville Charter defeated Coosa 32-10.

In AAA, Pierce County defeated Windsor Forest 49-21, Benedictine blanked Tattnall County 45-0, and Jenkins of Savannah topped Appling County 29-22.
In AAAAA, Wayne County defeated Jonesboro 17-9.
In AAAAAA, Coffee County, a No. 4 seed, topped No. 1 seed Stephenson 45-17.
