Yellow Jackets Play Dodge

Jeff Davis High’s football team will travel to Eastman Friday to face 9-1 Dodge County, a team ranked in the top ten all season.
The Indians’ only loss came to 9-1 Dublin, 34-10 in Dublin. The Indians are the No. 2 team from Region 3-AA while the Jackets are the No. 3 team from 2-AA.
The teams have played only one mutual opponent. The Yellow Jackets defeated East Laurens 20-14 while the Indians downed the Falcons 49-22. Both games were played at East Laurens.
Dodge County averaged 27.3 points per game while giving up 15 points per game. Jeff Davis averaged 29.4 on offense and gave up an average of 22.1 points per outing.
The winner of Friday’s games will face the winners or Jefferson County and Early County.
In other games involving Regions 2 and 3, Toombs County travels to Dublin, Vidalia hosts Washington County, and Swainsboro is at home against Northeast Macon.
