JDMS Teams Place Third

The Jeff Davis Middle School cross country teams finished their season last week.
On Tuesday the teams competed in the Middle Georgia Middle School Athletic Association cross country championship hosted by Bleckley County. Both the teams placed third.
On the boys side West Laurens led the conference with Bleckley County in second.
On the girls side Bleckley County was first with West Laurens finishing second.
Pierce Parlor paced the JDMS boys while Alexandra Uribe led the girls team.
The teams traveled back to Bleckley County for the Middle School State Championship Saturday.
The JDMS teams had individuals race in four small school division races. The Top 7 boys and girls each competed in the Small School Championship event which consists of middle schools that feed into GHSA 1A or 2A classification.
There were also a select group of runners who competed in the Small School JV races.
The JDMS boys finished 11th and girls 10th in the Small School Championship races, while the JV teams fared a little better with the boys finishing 8th and the girls 4th.
