Jeff Davis/Appling Sheriffs Offices Make Arrests
Sheriff Preston Bohannon reports that the Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office was busy week as deputies and drug investigators made several drug related arrests. This is a result of intense drug suppression efforts by the Sheriff’s Office.
July 29, deputies of the Jeff Davis and Appling County Sheriffs Offices arrested Debra Murray and Wayne Stone of Jeff Davis County. The two were charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after deputies discovered a major marijuana grow resulting in seizing approximately 140 marijuana plants with a street value of approximately $350,000.
Murray is being held in the Appling County Detention Center and Stone is detained at the Jeff Davis County Detention Center.
Several other drug related arrests were made. Haylee Dronet and Randall Snow both of Jeff Davis County were charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug related objects.
Jessica Marie Dirkes of Jeff Davis County was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects, and possession of a controlled substance (Xanax and other pills).
Charles Varnadore of Jeff Davis County was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects and possession of controlled substance (pills).
Thomas Wayne Rigdon of Coffee County — possession of marijuana and possession of drug related objects.
Robert Guerra of Appling County — possession of marijuana.
Daniel Guerra of Appling County — possession of marijuana
