Mr. Richard ‘Pop-Pop’ Drayton, 74

Services for Mr. Richard “Pop-Pop” Drayton, 74, who died April 19, will be held April 28 at 11 a.m. at Kirkland Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 990 Kirkland Still Road, Hazlehurst. Visitation will be held April 27 from 6-7 p.m. at King Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Drayton was born in Hazlehurst. After serving his country, he moved to Elizabeth, N.J. and after 40 years he retired and returned to his hometown of Hazlehurst.
Survivors include his wife, Eliza (Janie) Drayton; three daughter, Dorothea Salter, Wanda Jackson, and Myra Wooten; three brothers, Walter Drayton, Roy Drayton, and George Drayton and one sister, Eunice Woodard.
