Mr. Larry Davenport, 74

Services for Mr. Larry Davenport, 74, of Hazlehurst, who died April 20 at his residence, were held April 24 at Oakland Baptist Church.
His grandson, Bryce Jeffcoat, the Rev. Royce Hulett and the Rev. Joey Andrews officiated with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Davenport, a native of Kinston, N.C., was the son of the late Clifford Davenport and the late Lilaweese Granger Davenport. He was retired from Amoco Gas Company and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two great-grandsons, Cael Crumpton and Ryder Herndon; sister, Martha Griffin, and brother, Donald Davenport.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Sinclair Davenport of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Charlie Jeffcoat of Hazlehurst; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Tammie Davenport of Hazlehurst and Chris and Michelle Davenport of Hazlehurst; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Brian) Hulett, Chelzie (Eric) Crumpton, Kayla (Cody) Herndon, Garrett (Mara) Jeffcoat, Bryce Jeffcoat, Chandler Davenport, Dalton Jeffcoat and Anslee Davenport; five great-grandchildren, Brailey Hulett, Annie Hulett, Rhett Herndon, Caegan Crumpton, and Beau Crumpton; and several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Garrett Jeffcoat, Dalton Jeffcoat, Chandler Davenport, Eric Crumpton, Brian Hulettt, and Cody Herndon.
Honorary pallbearers were Senior Adult Sunday school Class of Oakland, Sheriff Preston Bohannon, Charles Nails, Gary Coleman, Will Dawson, Kenny Parlor, Joe Allen Yawn, Arthur and Janet Yawn, Wayne Smith, Jimmy Boatright, Larry Parlor, and Howard Rentz.
Wainwright-Parlor Funeral Home of Hazlehurst was in charge of arrangements.
