Veterans Association Meeting

The January meeting of the Jeff Davis County Veterans Association will be held at the Jeff Davis County Public Library Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. All veterans are urged to attend the meeting, which will be held in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Veterans Association.
The program will include short talks by the original officers of the Veterans Association, and special remarks by Phil Merritt. Merritt and the late Richard Stone were instrumental in organizing the Veterans Association in January, 2008.
While Veterans Association meetings are normally held at the Hazlehurst Municipal Complex on Johnson Street, for January only the group will meet at the library.
