Targets and Trails
Cord of Three Counseling Services and Hooves to Freedom in partnership with Liberty Mutual – The Cannington Agency & Mossy Pond Retrievers will host the 2nd Annual “Targets and Trails” fundraiser Feb. 29 featuring a pheasant shoot, 5-Stand Clay shoot in the morning hours with a triathlon, and a trail ride in the afternoon. The triathlon will consist of Trap, 5-Stand, and a Clay shoot. The day will also include a BB Gun contest, archery, a bounce house and other entertainment.
Register online at https://www.cordofthreecounseling.org/targets–trails.html. The morning shooting event is open to ages 13 and older with activities for younger children away from the events. Lunch will be at 11:30 with a dog demonstration and devotion following. Morning awards ceremony will follow lunch. The trail rides begin while three flights of the triathlon take place.
Children, ages 10 and under, can enjoy a BB gun shoot out and an archery contest. Participation is free and prizes will be awarded. A photographer will be onsite for family photographs.
The event will be from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. $1,000 will be awarded for first and $500 forsecond in the triathlon which is open to high school and collegiate shooters. A $500 for 1st, $250 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd in the shoot-out will be awarded. Participants provide their own guns and ammunition for the skeet and pheasant shoot. Participants are limited for each event. Participants in the trail ride must bring their own horse. The rides begin at 1 p.m. and conclude at 3:30 with an awards ceremony.
Proceeds will benefit the Cord of Three family fund and Hooves to Freedom.
