Riverboat Run

Riverboat Run will May 11 and event planners are expecting nearly 100 to sign up for the fourth annual event down the Ocmulgee River. If you do not have your own canoe or kayak, resources can be found at: www.ocmulgeewatertrail.com.
It will begin at 8 a.m. at Dykes Landing in Cochran and conclude at Mile Branch Park in Hawkinsville. Paddle fee includes a tee shirt and lunch. Proceeds will support Ocmulgee River educational and outreach programs. The Ocmulgee River Water Trail Project began in 2010 as a partnership between just a handful of communities along the river and now runs the length of the river.
