Package sales referendum early voting

Jeff Davis County Supervisor of Elections Christy Riner this week issued the official call for a special election to allow City of Hazlehurst voters to vote on whether or not to allow package sale of distilled spirits in the city.
The election is scheduled for Nov. 2 with advance voting set for Oct. 12-29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jeff Davis County Courthouse. Two days of Saturday voting have been scheduled of Oct. 16 and 23.
In their July meeting, the Hazlehurst City Council voted to ask for the election.
