Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child will reveal its vision for 2020 at a special meeting planned for Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Hazlehurst.
The area representative will explain Operation Christmas Child’s plan to use shoe boxes to reach the “unreached” across the globe. Individuals, churches, and organizations are invited.
Using a shoe box to reach boys and girls and their families is a simple plan that anyone can participate in. Each box is sent to a boy or girl somewhere in the world. The child also gets the opportunity to participate in a 12-week Bible study called The Greatest Journey. Through this Bible study, the child is introduced to Jesus Christ, who gives them hope even in a hopeless situation.
In 2019, Samaritan’s Purse collected 10 and a half million shoe boxes for boys and girls. David and Gail Miller invite everyone to participate in this project.
