‘Officer Involved’ Showing At JDHS Auditorium

The Hazlehurst Police Department will sponsor a movie fundraising event May 11 and 12 at the Jeff Davis High School auditorium.
Learn what law enforcement officers experience following an officer-involved shooting with a special airing of the award-winning documentary “Officer Involved.” The film offers insight into officer-involved shooting from the perspective of law enforcement. Later, learn more from local law enforcement and other First Responders, as they talk about the realities of the work they do. The event is designed to raise awareness and serve as a fundraiser to acquire a K9. Free popcorn and drink will be available. A freewill donation will be collected.
The May 11 event is by invitation only and will run from 6-8 p.m.
May 12 is a public event and will also run from 6-8 p.m.
