Frankie Snow at Towns Bluff
Towns Bluff Park and Heritage Center will participate in Georgia’s Super Museum Sunday Feb. 9, when museums across the state will offer free admission and special activities.
At Towns Bluff, Dr. Frankie Snow, learning services coordinator at South Georgia State College and 2014 recipient of the Crabtree Award from the Society of American Archaeology, will be on hand to do an Indian artifact identification from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Since the 1960s, Snow has devoted most of his time to the study of artwork of the swift Creek period (AD 200 – AD 700) and has a national reputation for his expertise in identifying historic relics of all kinds.
