5th quarter block party

A 5th Quarter Block Party will be held Oct. 11 following the Jeff Davis-Vidalia football game, from 10 p.m. to midnight. It will be held at Weatherly Blvd./Odum St. for teens in conjunction with the weekend’s annual Hazlehurst Music Festival.
Proceeds from this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness 5K walk/run will go towards treatment costs for Angie Sellers. She is a member of the community, a teacher in the local school system and she still has joy as she fights breast cancer. Participants can sign up for $20 at www.hazlehurstmusicfestival.com.
The run will be Oct. 12 at 9 a.m. and the Hazlehurst Music Festival will be 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. featuring all day music, shopping and games for all ages.
