2026 Women’s Celebration

First African Missionary Baptist Church of Baxley will have its “2026 Women’s Celebration,” May 16-17. The theme is, “Women of God, Hear the Cry, Heed the Call!” based on Isaiah 6:8.
The celebration begins May 16 at 9 a.m. with a forum of mother/daughter teams. The ages represented on the panel are 90’s, 80’s, 70’s, 60’s, 50’s & 20’s. The panel will mainly discuss the challenges of raising children now versus raising children then. There will be a brunch following.
On May 17 at 9:45 a.m. Sunday School will begin, followed by worship at 11 where the messenger will be Lady Shirelle Lewis of Love and Chapel Ministry of Jesus.
The celebration ends at 3 p.m. with a service.  All ladies are asked to wear black with white pearls. Minister Millie D. Conaway of EMPACT Church of Hazlehurst will bring the message. Dinner will be served.
