Primary School Title I meeting
Jeff Davis Primary School will host its in-person Annual Title I Meeting Sept. 1 at 5:30 in the JDPS lunchroom.
Immediately following the Title I Meeting parents will visit classrooms for the JDPS Testing Meeting presentation.
Unity Baptist Homecoming
Unity Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming Sept. 11. The guest speaker will be former pastor the Rev. Marty Anderson.
Services will begin at 10:30 with the fellowship meal to follow. The church is located off Hwy. 23 on Unity Church Road in Bacon County.
The pastor, the Rev. Charles Davis, and members invite everyone to attend.

JDMS Title I virtual meeting
Jeff Davis Middle School will hold its annual Title I virtual meeting Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m. on JDMS Facebook Page and Remind.
A link will be posted and sent out via Remind. Access the presentation and “sign in” on Google Form to leave feedback.
Hazlehurst City Council meeting
The Hazlehurst City Council’s regularly scheduled meeting.
Forever Young
Forever Young, the senior adult group of Hazlehurst First United Methodist Church meets this Thursday, says Jonathan Hartsfield, senior adult coordinator.
They will leave the church parking lot at 6 and travel to McRae’s Southern Star restaurant for good food, fun and fellowship.
All are invited to this event each third Thursday of the month.
Conservation meets
The Altamaha Conservation District will hold its regular meeting Sept. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bacon County Extension office, 203 S Dixon St. #3, Alma.

Old Geezer Day
Ole Geezer Day will be Sept. 24 at the Snipesville Community Center. There will be folklore and tales from the past told. The speaker will be retired Brigadier Gen. Darrell Lockaby. Menu will consist of barbecue pork and fried fish. Free admission, but donations are accepted.
Denton Baptist Church Homecoming
Denton Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming Sept. 25. Services will begin at 10 a.m. with singing by Abundant Grace and guest speaker, the Rev. Charles Carter. Meal will follow in the social hall.
Pastor Randall Kersey and members invite all to celebrate this occasion.
