Ash Wednesday service will be Feb. 17 at 6 at Hazlehurst First United Methodist Church, says the Rev. Allen Hartsfield, pastor.
All present will be invited to the altar to receive an ashen cross drawn on their forehead.
This service will start the season of Lent which is the 40 days of the church calendar culminating on Easter.
All are invited as we prepare our hearts for Lent and Easter.
The service will also be live streamed on Facebook as are the church’s 11 and 6 Sunday worship services every week.

The Hazlehurst City Council’s regularly scheduled meeting.

The Jeff Davis county Republican Party will meet Thursday night at 6:30 in the side room at Manna Cafe.
Plans for the 2022 campaign season will be discussed. All interested people are invited.
