The Friends of the Jeff Davis County Library invite the public to a presentation about the book, and book signing by Buck Elder at the Jeff Davis County Library Thursday, April 9, at 7 p.m.
The book, “God Plants a Garden…A Different Kind of Love Story,” takes a fresh, imaginative look at the creation story, and gives the reader an opportunity to imagine journeying with God through the creation process, and to appreciate all that God must have had to do each day. And perhaps the ready may even discover a different kind of love story along the way.
Elder hopes the reader will think more about what a complex achievement the creation was and to appreciate what all God had to do in the beginning. Although the book has great illustrations, it is not a true children’s book; Buck prefers to call it an adult children’s book.
Copies of the book are available locally at Hardies’ Drug Store, and also can be ordered through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iTunes, Google Play, and the Ingram Network Catalog.
