Mrs. Susan Catherine Ely, 68

Mrs. Susan Catherine Ely, 68, of Hazlehurst, passed away Oct. 19 peacefully at home.
She was born June 18, 1958, in Elizabeth, N.J., and had resided in Freehold, N.J., prior to settling in Hazlehurst eight years ago.
Susan worked as an administrator at Centre State Hospital in Freehold for 17 years until she retired in 2016.
She was predeceased by her mother Genevieve and her son Raymond.
She was a loving and devoted wife for 50 years to her husband Raymond, a loving and dedicated mother to her children, Raymond and Jason, and an adoring and proud grandmother to her grandsons, Alex and Brendan.
Susan is also survived by her sister Judy, who she loved dearly, sister-in-laws Michelle, Stacey and Valerie and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Oct. 23 in the chapel of Wainright Parlor Funeral Home.
