Swimmers go to state meet this week

The 2026 Georgia Recreation and Parks Association Statewide Swim meet will be held July 10-11 at the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation facility in Moultrie.
Session 1 will be held this Friday, starting at 9 a.m. After the completion and a break, Session 2 will begin — the start time determined by how long Session 1 lasts.
Session 3, the meet finals, will be held Saturday with a 9 a.m. start time. Events 1-45 will be held in the morning with events 46-90 held in the afternoon.
Friday is qualifying day with the top 8 swimmers in each event advancing to Saturday’s finals.
Parking is located across the street from the pool located on 5th St. S.W. Additional parking can be found behind the gym at Goff Complex and in the field behind the T-Ball field on 11th Ave. S.W.
The order of events is ages 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18.
Recommended lodgings are Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express and Suites.
