Tracksters compete at state

As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jeff Davis High’s girls track and field team was tied for 9th place in the state meet with 24 points.
Ava Bohannon scored 18 of the points with a 1st place finish in the girls discus throw with a distance of 127-6, and a 2nd place finish in the shot put with a throw of 36-5.
Anastasia Sirmans scored the other 6 points with a 3rd place finish in the pole vault with a height of 9-0.
On the boys side, Kobe Hill finished 5th in the shot put with a throw of 46-4.25, earning 4 points, the boys 4 x 200 relay team placed 8th in a time of 1:30.91 to earn one point and Jaiden West finished 7th in the 400 meter dash in 51.54 to earn 2 points.
