Bluegrass festival coming

The family bluegrass music festival, Headin’ Home Fest, is returning to Hazlehurst April 8-12 at Stagger Lee Music Park, 902 Vernon Williams Rd. The festival’s October, 2025, event was a smashing success, drawing hundreds of musicians and bluegrass lovers from all over the country.
Hosted by the family band Headin’ Home from Bloomingdale, Headin’ Home Fest is a five-day celebration of great bluegrass music, camping, jamming, vendors, food, and family fun. Stagger Lee Music Park offers a covered stage pavilion, over 100 RV hookups, bathhouses, laundry facilities, free wifi, vendors, and food trucks. Day tickets and weekend tickets are available.
Bands include Authentic Unlimited (Tennessee), The Little Roy & Lizzy Show (Georgia), Kenny & Amanda Smith (Tennessee), Appalachian Smoke (Georgia), Last Hour Bluegrass (North Carolina), Backline (South Carolina), The Amanda Cook Band (Virginia), The Brothers Five (Georgia), Daryl Mosley (Tennessee), Bryan County Bluegrass (Georgia), Boonie Bevins & Carolina Drive (South Carolina), and Headin’ Home. There will be craft and music vendors, raffles and prizes, songwriting and guitar workshops, and campfire jamming.
April 8 will kick off the festivities with a free 5 p.m. potluck dinner and open stage featuring local talent. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday stage shows run from 12 to 9:30 p.m.
