Mr. Wayne Glenn, 76

Mr. Wayne Glenn, 76, of Hazlehurst, passed away Feb. 22 at HCA Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.
Mr. Glenn was born April02, 1949, in Sylacauga, Ala., to the late C.G. Glenn and Shelia Lennon Glenn. He had made Jeff Davis County his home for many years and was a faithful member of First Methodist Church of Hazlehurst, where he was especially passionate about mission work and serving others. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying nature. Wayne was talented at woodworking and took pride in building and creating with his hands. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In honor and support of his daughter, he was also a registered Girl Scout, a role he embraced with pride. Above all, Wayne loved his family dearly, and his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Joyce Lambert and his brother Charles Glenn.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 58 years Donna Knozier Glenn of Hazlehurst; daughter Stephanie Taylor (Richard Jr.) of Kansas; brother Robert Glenn (Dondi) of Alabama; grandchildren, Bradley Williams (Kaila Anderson), Alexander Embree and Richard ‘Ryder’ Taylor.
Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Riddle officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Palms Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be John Howard, Brandon Shroeder and Scott Glenn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hazlehurst First Methodist Church.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge.
