Girls soccer 5-0; boys 4-1

Jeff Davis Soccer went through a busy game week, as they played 3 games in 4 days.
On Tuesday, the program traveled to Metter to start off the first of 3 games of the week. The girls team went on to win the game 3-1, with two goals from Alex Arano and Mayrani Trejo.
The boys side will repeat the same scoreline as they won 3-1 as well, avenging their home loss from the previous week. Steve Rangel would get the first and Konnor Munsayac would go on to score the other 2 goals.
On Thursday, Jeff Davis hosted North Hall. The girls’ regular time result was 1-1, with the lone goal coming from Alex Arano. This result would mean the game would be decided on a penalty shootout. Goalkeeper Hailey Hughes would go on to save two shots and help give the win for the girls.
The boys would go on to win 3-1 with the goals coming from Fabian Valdelamar, Gabriel Osorio, and Konnor Munsayac.
Friday, the teams traveled to Fitzgerald for the first region matchup of the year and the final match of the week.
The girls went on to win 2-0, after a very contested match, with goals coming from Alex Arano and Abby Harper.
Boys went on to win 5-1 with goals coming from Manny Chavez, Fabian Valdelamar and 3 coming from Konnor Munsayac.
The girls’ record is now 5-0 and the boys’ is 4-1. Both teams have a week to prepare for their next game as they host Sumter County Feb. 27 in the Pinelands. Girls start at 5 p.m. and boys play after. Be sure to come out and support both teams!
