No burn permits will be issued

The Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis county fire department in cooperation with the Georgia Forestry Commission (Jeff Davis County) will not be issuing burn permits until further notice.
Ongoing drought conditions along with projected high winds are the driving force behind this decision.
