Mrs. Annita Martinez, 56

Ms. Annita Martinez, 56, of Hazlehurst, passed away Jan. 24.
She was born Nov. 19, 1969, in Lansing, Mich., to the late Alfonso Martinez Sr. and Adela Diaz Martinez. She was a resident of Hazlehurst for over 38 years. She liked to sew and spend time watching and sharing Facebook and TikTok videos with those she loved. She was a quiet, private person, but very loving, and enjoyed being at home with friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Alfonso Martinez Jr.
Survivors include her sons Luis Arreguin (Sarah) of McRae, and Ismael Arreguin (Terese) of Hazlehurst; daughter Margarita Arreguin of Hazlehurst; sisters Guadalupe Beltran (Alejandro), Janie Martinez (Noe San Martin) and Julia Medina (Tony), all of Glenwood, Sarah Ramirez (Elias) of Florida, and Teresa Martinez (Marcelino) of Baxley; grandchildren Angelica Arreguin, Alejandro Arreguin, Angel Huerta, Annalisa Huerta, Eliseo Arreguin, Adamaris Arreguin, Hana Ponce, Julianna Ponce, Perla Ponce and Alexsandra Ponce; great-grandchildren Kamilla Salinas, Isaac Ponce, Izaria Ponce, Nialani Ponce, Trevion Gillis and Essence Gillis; and several special nieces and nephews.
