Millers say thank you

David and Gail Miller of Because He Lives Ministries thank everyone who helped with Project Help-a-Child. A great big thank you goes to a gentleman who spent countless hours building the big outdoor stage. Thank you to the county commissioners for the small gate that allowed easy access to the stage area. Thank you to the volunteers who spent the afternoon helping regardless of the cold and wind.
Even though Dec. 14 was a very chilly, windy day, the weather did not stop this project. Families and their children lined up at the Recreation Department parking lot on Hwy. 341 ready to listen to the production by radio. The cast, which was mostly children, refused to allow the cold and wind to stop their production of the birth of Christ. Volunteers were stationed under the Farmers Market shelter ready to pass out huge gift bags and Bibles and other goodies. Many parents were blessed and many children happy as they received these things.
This project is an annual event sponsored by Because He Lives Ministries. It is held the 2nd Sunday afternoon of December. This is the 18th year Because He Lives Ministries has provided for the children of Jeff Davis County. All Jeff Davis families are invited to sign up your children next year.
