Mr. Charles Hardman Mincey, 79

Mr. Charles Hardman Mincey, 79, of Lumber City, passed away Aug. 23 at his home.
He was born Oct. 31, 1945, in Montgomery County to the late Ray Mincey and Ethel Horne Mincey. He spent most of his life in Lumber City and was proud to call it home. A dedicated millwright by trade, Charles worked for Beasley Timber for 18 years. Known for his strong work ethic both on the job and at home, he was admired as a hardworking man who gave his best in all that he did.
Charles will be remembered for his generous spirit. He was always willing to lend a hand — or anything he owned — without ever expecting anything in return. He loved his family dearly and cherished every moment spent together, especially when everyone could gather under one roof. In his quiet time, Charles enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and football on television.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Patricia Harris Mincey; and brother-in-law Ralph Harris Jr.
Survivors include his daughter Rachel Mincey (Gabriel Acuna) of Lumber City; sister Faye Howard of Hazlehurst; and special friend Mario Franco.
Graveside service was at Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City.
Miles Funeral Home was in charge.
