JDMS cross country teams compete

The Jeff Davis Middle School cross country teams traveled to Bleckley County Saturday for the Clash of Classes meet.
This is a non-traditional meet with a unique scoring system where the best place for each boy and girl in each grade is compiled for every team. Then each team’s top four placers are used for scoring.

1st – Bleckley’s sixth graders placed 2nd and 3rd, their 7th graders both first, and their 8th graders both first for a perfect score of 4 for their 4 lowest placing individuals.
2nd Place – Jone’s County sixth graders both placed first, their 7th graders 18th and 30th, and their 8th graders 13th and 2nd. Their score for their four lowest placers was 17.
3rd Place – Jeff Davis sixth graders were 9th and 18th, 7th graders 3rd and 5th, and their 8th graders 8th and 3rd. Their score for their four lowest placers was 19.
