Ms. Mary Lee Nash McLoon, 93

Ms. Mary Lee Nash McLoon, 93, of Hazlehurst, passed away Jan. 4 at Hazlehurst Court Care.
Ms. McLoon was born Sept. 18, 1931, in Irwin County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Asbury Nash and Maude Lucille Osborn Nash, husband L.T. McLoon, son Huey McLoon and brother Talmadge Nash.
She was a retired Heat Set Inspector with Hazlehurst Mills, a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Jolly Friends, which she enjoyed so much.
Ms. Mary Lee was a true Southern Christian Lady with a deep love for her children and especially the grandchildren. She was a lady of strong will, and of a loving character, she loved reading her bible, doing puzzles, and was a great cook. She definitely took her job as mother and grandmother very seriously, always had a contagious smile for everyone and never was ashamed to tell people about her Jesus. She will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Larry Don and Elaine McLoon of Douglas; daughters and sons-in-law Connie McLoon Moody and Eddie of Hazlehurst and Cathy McLoon Foskey and Jeff of Dublin; brothers J.T. Nash of Hazlehurst and half-brother Jimmy Dixon of Oklahoma; half-sister Lucille McEachin of Hazlehurst; grandchildren Leigh McLoon, Sandi Rentz, Crystal Lucas, Joseph McLoon, Susanne Augusta, Brian Carver, Jeremy Cason and Jordan Cason; 25 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeffery Spell, grandsons, Jeremy Cason and Brian Carver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and employees of Hazlehurst Court Care.
Active pallbearers will be Brian Carver, Jeremy Cason, Jordan Cason, Jarvis Marchant, Kellan Lucas and Camden Carver.
Music will be rendered by the Rev. Jeffery Spell.
