Mr. Gregory S. Bragg, 65

Mr. Gregory S. Bragg, 65, of Hazlehurst, died Sept. 2 at Atrium Health Navicent, The Medical Center in Macon. A memorial service will be held later.
Mr. Bragg was born May 13, 1959, in Fort Belvoir, VA. He lived in Hinesville, Centerville, and Cochran for part of his life, but lived most of his life in Hazlehurst. He was in the National Guard for over 10 years and got out in 1991. He was a manager of Corky Bells in Macon before he got disabled in 2010. He had a passion to hunt, especially for deer any chance he could, even when he wasn’t feeling well. When you met him, he would talk to you like he knew you for years. He didn’t meet a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father= Frank Bragg; aunts Carolyn (Vernon) Thompson, and Maggie (Willie) Roth; hs grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Davis; nephew Carol Girtman; and a friend he considered as his brother, Don Carver.
Survivors include his daughter Chrystal Bragg of Byron; mother Gwen Bragg of Hazlehurst; brothers Alan (Carol) Bragg of Alamo and Frank (Cindy) Bragg of Stuart, Fla.; sisters Patricia McNeal of Hazlehurst and Melinda (Danny) Ferrell of Fayetteville; aunt Maude (JC) Thompson of Midway; grandkids Denise Taylor of Warner Robins, Christina Scott of Centerville, Sean Bragg of Byron, Amanda Gibson and Angela (Naomi) Gibson of Sandy Springs; great-grandkids Aa’den Keen, Malia Keen, Christian CJ Smith, and Alayna Smith; nieces Tiffany (Jerry) Becker Googe of Hazlehurst, Danielle (Matt) Clements, Lauren (Jonathan) Dobbs, and Jennifer (Josh) Rivers; nephews David (Helen) Legget of Winder, Joseph (Anna) Ferrell, and Matthew Bragg of Hazlehurst; and John (Johnboy) Carver of Hazlehurst, who is like a nephew; and several beloved cousins.
Simply Cremation of Middle Georgia has charge.
