Lady Jackets back in the Final Four

Jeff Davis High’s defending State Champion girls tennis team is back in the Final Four this year after defeating the Walker School from Cobb County Monday afternoon in Hazlehurst 3-0.
No. 3 singles player Demi Rush easily defeated her opponent as she was the first off the courts. Then the No. 2 doubles team of Ava Coleman and Presley Cox came off the courts with a win. And when No. 1 singles player Lexi Girtman got her winning point the match was over.
The Lady Jackets were truly better than the Cobb County private school as, when the match ended, No. 2 singles player Cori Mims and the No. 1 doubles team of Aleah Parker and Noel Munoz were leading in close matches.
Next up, the Lady Jackets, the No. 1 team from Region 1-AA, play the winner of Appling County, the No. 2 team from 3-AA, and Fellowship Christian, the No. 2 team from 8-AA.
The Walker School was the No. 1 team from Region 6-AA.
Also in the Final Four are Savannah Arts Academy, No. 4 from 3-AA, and Brantley County, No. 1 from 3-AA, as 3-AA has two teams already in the Final Four and, if Appling defeats Fellowship Christian, that region will have three of the four spots in the Final Four.
