Deaconess Marie K. Cray, 94

Services for Deaconess Marie K. Cray, 94, who died March 31, were held April 6 at House of God Church in Hazlehurst with Elder Gregory Crawford presiding.
Mrs. Cray was born April 11, 1929, to Richard and Mandie Kates in Horne Mission, Ga. She attended Horne Mission School and worshipped at House of God Church for over 57 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; all her siblings; husband James W. Cray Sr.; daughter Mae Alice Myles; sons Elder Oscar Kates, James W. Cray Jr. and William H. Cray.
Survivors include son Leo (Debra) Cray; special granddaughter Katherine McMillan; daughters-in-law Patricia Cray, Doris Cray Jacobs and Vanessa Kates; sister-in-law Annie Mae Kates; 22 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; bonus daughter Susan Matthews Quinney; special family members; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Active pallbearers were great-grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers were Steven Cray, Timothy Kates, Eric Cray, William Cray Jr., Curtis Myles, Robert Myles and Donald Myles.
Burial was in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
King Brothers Funeral Home and Cremation Services was in charge.
