Mrs. EuRee Wood Taylor, 84

Ms. EuRee Wood Taylor, 84, of Denton passed away Jan. 20 at Lumber City Nursing Home.
Ms. Taylor was born in Jeff Davis County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Eula Burkett Wood, daughter, Shana Dawn Day and son, Todd Taylor, brother Jimmy Wood. She was retired and a member of Macedonia Church of God. Ms. EuRee was a sweet, gentle spirit; she was always so-so kind. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, listening to gospel music and going to church. She loved her church family. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Her family said the Dairy Queen was Ms. EuRee’s second home because she enjoyed their banana splits.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Jan and David Medders of Hazlehurst and Julie Hughes of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Scott C. and Debbie Taylor of Denton; grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Alexia, Amanda Julianna, Sharah, Anna, Cole, and Aubrey; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Jan. 22 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Tannerm officiating. Interment followed in Burkett Baptist Church Cemetery in Coffee County.
Honorary pallbearers were all family and friends in attendance.
Active pallbearers were Josh Sheffield, Anthony Rowland, Keaton Corbitt, Weston Harper, Dylan Calhoun and Matt Willis.
Wainright-Parlor was in charge.
