Mr. Willard Stevens, 82

Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the funeral for Mr. Willard Stevens, 82, who passed away Oct. 25 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.
Mr. Stevens was born in Coffee County. He was the son of the late Desso and Mag Stevens. He was also preceded in death by his wife Martie Stevens and a sister Judy Stevens.
Mr. Stevens was the owner/operator of Dairy Queen and Otasco for 20 years. He worked for several decades at NAPA as well. He loved NASCAR, watching sports, fishing, the outdoors, and reading. He was a quiet man but loved telling stories.
Survivors include son Jimmy Stevens; daughter Teresa (James) Hand; brother Glynn (Dawn) Stevens; grandchildren April (Derrick) Zipperer, Justin (Matthew Pulliam) Hand, Kirk (Angie) Stevens; great-grandchildren Layla, Koleman, and Kylar Zipperer, Bethany, and James Stevens; and several nieces and nephews.
Service were hekld Oct. 28 in the chapel of Wainright and Parlor Funeral Home, Bro. Jimmie Ryles officiated. The interment was in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
