Mrs. Laura Jean Treadaway Kauger, 51, of Hazlehurst, passed away Sept. 27 in Augusta.
Mrs. Kauger was born Jan. 26, 1972, in Candler County to Charles William Treadaway and Dorothy Mae Woods Treadaway. Laura was employed at Precision Products, where she held many titles and was the heart of many operations. Laura was a devoted and selfless wife, mother, and granny. She loved her family with all her heart and always had a beautiful affectionate smile on her face.
Survivors include her loving husband, Tim Kauger; sons, Alex Kauger, Chase Kauger, Trevor (Sarah) Crosby, and Adam (Tabitha) Kauger; sister, Paula Treadaway (Jeremie) Deloach; brothers, Greg Treadaway, and Paul Treadaway; grandchildren, Riggs Crosby, Beau Kauger, Remmi Kauger, and Garrison Coleman; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including an aunt, Angie Woods Lindsey, and a cousin, Kristy Willis Brooks, with whom she had a special bond; and countless friends who loved her dearly.
Services were held Sept. 30 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Rev. David Barber officiating; and remembrances from family and friends were shared by Misty Barber and Jeremie Deloach. Interment followed in Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Trevor Crosby, Alex Kauger, Kevin Perry, Tony Adams, Bobby Sears, and Jeremie Deloach.
Honorary pallbearers were the employees of Precision Products.
Swain Funeral Home was in charge.
