Underwood is team’s top hitter

Jeff Davis High’s senior third baseman Jaci Underwood had a strong week at the plate last week as, in three games, she had three singles, a double, a triple, a home run and nine RBI.
That upped her season batting average to .509 and increased her team-leading RBI total to 24.
Senior Bentlee Metts upped her batting average to .395 and sophomore Claire Stinson was second on the team in RBI with 18.
Underwood and freshman Ava Bohannon both have four home runs and Stinson is close behind with three.
With three shut-out performances on the mound last week, sophomore Carrie Ellen Arnold has an 11-3 won-loss record and an ERA of 1.472.
