Wooten Enters Ocmulgee Race For Commission

To the citizens of the Ocmulgee District and Jeff Davis County, my name is Jerry Wooten and I am announcing that I am running for County Commissioner of the Ocmulgee District in the upcoming election which will be held May 24, 2022.
My wife, Jane, and I have been married for 48 years and have two sons, Jerry A. and wife, Elizabeth, and Kevlin and wife, Brittany. We also have five grandchildren, Knifton, Kalli, Chelsey, Kinsley and Jared.
I am a full time farmer in Jeff Davis County which we grow cotton, peanuts, corn, cows and timber. We attend Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where I also serve as a Deacon since 2006.
I also serve on the board of Jeff Davis Peanut and Grain, LLC for the past 15 years which I am also a shareholder. I am also a shareholder in the Cotton Partners, LLC here in Jeff Davis County and a shareholder in Premium Peanut, LLC. I currently serve on the Cotton Advisory Committee for Farm Bureau, where I also serve as Vice President for our local Farm Bureau here in Jeff Davis County and serve on our local Farm Bureau Board. I also serve on the board of Tobacco Commission. In 2019 I was honored to be named Farmer of the Year for Jeff Davis County.
I have also worked hard and have been truly blessed but only with the good Lord’s help. A farmer knows that they can only plant the seed but it takes the blessings from God above to make that seed grow. I promise if I am elected I will work just as hard for our County, Jeff Davis County, a county which we should be proud of. So I humbly ask for your prayers, your support and your vote come May 24, 2022.
If you have any questions or concerns please give me a call at 912-253-4218. Please consider voting for me, Jerry Wooten, for County Commissioner of the Ocmulgee District. Because if we all work together, we can make a difference concerning our County, Jeff Davis.
Thank you and may God bless each and every citizen of Jeff Davis County.
