Mr. Marvin Osburn, 79, of Hazlehurst, passed away Aug. 3 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Mr. Osburn was born March 31, 1940, in Jeff Davis County to the late Horace Osburn and the late Lois Shell Osburn. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Oak View Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Euldine Smith, Marlene Lee and Winfred Osburn.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Griffin Osburn of Hazlehurst; daughter, Pamela Justice (Paul) of Perry; son, Paul Osburn Sr. of Byron; grandchildren, Brandon Cone, Jesse Cone, Alexis Cone, Paul Osburn Jr., and Thomas Osburn; five great-grandchildren; sister, Lorene Osburn Pierce (Gene) of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Aug. 6 at Oak View Baptist Church with the Rev. David Barber and the Rev. Keith Yawn officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jr Griffin, Adrian Carelock, Crandall Parlor, Lewis Sellers, Matt Rowell, and Mike Thompson.
Musical selections were rendered by Misty Barber.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
