Grand Jury Hands Down Indictments

Included in a long list of indictments returned last week by the Jeff Davis County Grand Jury was an indictment alleging Lori Danielle Wyatt of five counts of theft by taking while working with Title Max in Hazlehurst. The thefts totaled $2,300 and all five occurred during 2016.
The indictment charges Wyatt took $200 from a man on May 9, 2016; took $600 from a woman on Aug. 8, 2016; took $500 from a woman on Aug. 29, 2016; took $500 from a man on Sept. 20, 2016; and took another $500 from a person on Nov. 27, 2016.
In other indictments:
Clifford Daniel Morris was indicted on a charge of terroristic threats for allegedly threatening to commit murder to terrorize another person on May 3, 2016.
Johnny Wayne Floyd was indicted on charges of aggravated assault, driving while license suspended, and possession of marijuana less than an ounce in connection with a Feb. 10 incident in which he is accused of pointing a 12 gauge shotgun at a person, driving a motor vehicle on Towns Creek Road and having a small amount of marijuana on him.
William Chase Hall was indicted on a charge of forgery in the first degree. He is accused of, in January, possessing a writing purportedly made by Clerk of Court Julie Wilkerson and delivering the writing to another person.
Alex Jujuan Campbell was charged with burglary in the first degree, obstruction of an officer and possession of marijuana less than an ounce. He is accused of entering a home on Davis Street on March 14, attempting to run from a police officer and being in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Keon Deandre Clark was indicted on two counts of obstruction of an officer for allegedly kicking an officer in the groin while he was being arrested and failing to comply with lawful commands of another officer.
William Halton Jeffcoat was indicted for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and theft by receiving stolen property in connection with a Feb. 17 incident in which he allegedly had methamphetamine and buprenorphine in his possession and received a stolen license plate.
In a separate indictment, Jeffcoat was charged with two counts of sale of methamphetamine on Sept. 27, 2017, and Jan. 11, 2018.
Michael Scott Hutto was charged with theft by taking and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is accused of taken a .40 caliber Glock pistol from a man on April 7 while he was a convicted felon.
Ron Clinton McNeal was indicted on a charge of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, battery and cruelty to children in the third degree. McNeal is accused of hitting a man over 65 years of age, causing cuts and bruises to his face, detaining the man without legal authority, and striking the man with his fists, all in front of a female under the age of 18.
Russell Scott Silman was charged with violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act, sale of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and sale, distribution, possession of dangerous drugs. He is accused of selling methadone on March 4, selling methamphetamine on March 8, possessing methadone on March 12, possessing phenobarbital with intent to distribute on March 12, and possessing metoclopramide hydrochloride and duloxetine hydrochloride on March 12.
In a separate indictment, Silman was charged with sale of methamphetamine on Feb. 27.
Kristi Nicole Branch was indicted on a charge of sale of methamphetamine on Dec. 14, 2017.
Cary Kyle Girtman was indicted on two charges of sale of methamphetamine and a charge of possession of methamphetamine. The sale charges were for incidents on Nov. 22, 2017, and Jan. 13, 2018, and the possession charge was made on March 16, 2018.
Thomas Wayne Butler was indicted on charges of sale of marijuana on March 21, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute on March 29, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, also on March 29.
